Founded in 2020 by Jane Dua and Michelle Williams, nunchi is a women of color-owned fine jewelry business on a mission to redefine luxury with sustainability, inclusivity, and retail activism.
The jeweler is committed to not only creating an inclusive space for BIPOC, butalso reclaiming physical space in the notoriously exclusionary jewelry industry.
At the jeweler's core lies the Korean concept of nunchi (an innate connection to society). They lean on this concept to build a brand that is sustainable in theory and practice. That includes everything from sustainable materials such as recycled gold and lab grown diamonds to sustainable business practices of body inclusivity, diverse representation throughout our production pipeline, and equity for people of color.
In keeping with the principle of nunchi, the jeweler regularly highlight and support community organizations they deeply admire including The Bail Project, GOSO NYC, The Trevor Project, and The Marsha P. Johnson Institute through a donated portion of proceeds on product sales.
